WHAT IS SCRIP?

The Scrip program is a hassle-free way for you to be able to raise funds to support your child in our program.  

HOW DOES IT WORK?

There is no cost to sign up. Parents, teachers, friends, and families are encouraged to participate as supporters of the Scrip Program. All the money you earn through Scrip will go directly to your student account to help defer the costs associated with cheerleading and dance.

IT'S EASY TO USE - *NEW ONLINE INFO IN THIS SECTION!

ESCRIP (Electronic Scrip)  This is where you register your grocery club cards.  We have three electronic programs that donate money back to you. E-Scrip, which is Vons, Albertsons, and Ralphs.  Once you register your cards and let our Scrip Manager, Melaney, know who you want your money to go back to, then you simply swipe your registered grocery club card and/or credit/debit card at time of purchase and the rest is done for you!  Step by step instructions are BELOW!

SCRIP (Paper Scrip)  This is where you purchase "same as cash" gift cards and certificates.  You pay nothing extra, but receive a percentage back for every card you buy.  Everything from gas and grocery cards to vacations and restaurants are available! This is the scrip that is available through Patti, Bonnie and Melaney.  There are very high returns on some scrip cards, please see the chart below to determine the amount you will get back from ordering Scrip.  The order dates are BELOW.  Once you get in to the swing of things, it is really simple.

▪ STEP 1 - Select the cards you would like to order, noting the denominations

▪ STEP 2 - Total and write a check to:  SMCYB (San Marcos Community Youth Boosters)

▪ STEP 3 - Contact Patti Tarling, Bonnie Bagheri, or Melaney Pollack & establish a routine for getting your check delivered and receiving your scrip. 

*NEW - ONLINE ORDERING OF PAPER SCRIP! This is where you purchase "same as cash" gift cards and certificates ON LINE AND PAY BY CHECK.  This is the same as paper scrip (above) without having to order through one of our reps.  You will still have to make arrangements to pick up your scrip from one of our reps.  Follow these easy steps:

▪ STEP 1 - Go to www.shopwithscrip.com and set up your personal account

▪ STEP 2 - Follow on line directions - Our enrollment code is: 47C5A4A2872L (case sensitive)

▪ STEP 3 - Choose San Marcos Community Youth Boosters as your ORGANIZATION

▪ STEP 4 - Put your students name and class (jv cheer, varsity dance, etc.) where it asks for it

▪ STEP 5 - Set up your 'PRESTO PAY' account (upper left hand corner)  This is similar to setting up PayPal and will take a few days, as they verify your account by making a few small deposits in to your account.

Once your account is set up, the fee for using this service is only 39 cents, no matter how large the transaction! From here on out, you simply LOG IN, click on ORDER SCRIP, and go.  The order is sent directly to Melaney and will be ordered by the next order date (see calendar of dates below).  If you have any questions, contact Melaney Pollack or Patti Tarling.

Make a payment to your account or pay for your scrip! 1 - Click the button on the right 2 - Follow the on screen directions 3 - Note cheerleader/dancer name on final page (look for little blue message and plus sign). *Note that if you register your cards through escrip, the transaction fee will be covered by the amount they donate back to you!

Use for account payments or Scrip Payments only. Be sure to note your child's name and payment purpose in the 'options' box on the payment page. Example "Sue P. - JV Cheer - Scrip"

Scrip drop off and pick up dates for 2008 - Your order must be in by the drop off date, and will be delivered by the pick up date.  This is when they are DUE to Melaney, so if you order through Patti or Bonnie, have your order to them in advance of the drop off date below.

Registering Your Cards:

E SCRIP REGISTRATION FOR ALBERTSONS:

▪ STEP 1 - LOG ON TO:  Albertsons Link

▪ STEP 2 - Enter your preferred Card # and your telephone # and click "Login"

▪ STEP 3 - Click on "My Account"

▪ STEP 4 - Select the group you want to sponsor.  We are San Marcos Community Youth Boosters,

               Our account number with Albertsons is #49000124161

▪ STEP 5 - Make your changes and click "update"

▪ STEP 6 - Email Melaney Pollock and let her know your registration info and the student you want your money to go to.

E SCRIP REGISTRATION FOR RALPHS:

▪ STEP 1 - LOG ON TO: www.ralphs.com

▪ STEP 2 - Click on "Community Contribution" in the left column

▪ STEP 3 - Click on "Participant"

▪ STEP 4 - Fill our the bold fields

▪ STEP 5 - The NPO you need to enter is #84454 (San Marcos Community Youth Boosters)

▪ STEP 6 - Enter all 13 digits of your Ralphs card (includes the '2' on the left number)

▪ STEP 7 - Click Submit

▪ STEP 8 - Email Melaney Pollock and let her know your registration info and the student you want your money to go to.

E SCRIP REGISTRATION FOR VON'S & MACY'S:

▪ STEP 1 - LOG ON TO: www.escrip.com

▪ STEP 2 - Click on "My E-Scrip"

▪ STEP 3 - You will need to enter a password.  If you are new, register.  If you are a returning client, you may have to have it sent to you.

▪ STEP 4 - Fill out the required information.

▪ STEP 5 - The group you want to support is ID #139414340 (San Marcos Community Youth Boosters)

▪ STEP 6 - While you are there, check your registered credit cards for expiration dates.

▪ STEP 7 - Email Melaney Pollock and let her know your registration info and the student you want your money to go to.
