Article from the North County Times:  Sept. 23, 2007

San Marcos High School cheerleaders demonstrated leadership as teachers and mentors when they hosted a cheer clinic for San Marcos Pop Warner cheerleaders before a recent Friday football game. Leading by example and through instruction, the varsity squad had fun playing games and teaching the younger girls a few of their cheers.

Following a pre-game pizza dinner, Pop Warner cheerleaders made a grand entrance onto the field and joined the SMHS cheerleaders to pump up school spirit during the fourth quarter of the junior varsity game and through the first quarter of the varsity game. The Knights went on to win both games, and the Pop Warner girls took home an experience they will never forget. San Marcos Pop Warner thanks the SMHS cheerleaders for their time and dedication.
